Hello
just wanted to say I love the web site..and keep up the good
work. Talk to ye soon God bless...
Sincerly Yours,
Sean Thornton
To
Joan and Helen,Thank you so must for making our wedding day
special.
Everything was perfect, everybody love the kilts (Irish
national). Great service. Thank you,
Jim Fitzsimmons
Thank
you for making all three of our childrens wedding the talk of
the town.
Both our boys bridal party wore the kilts but when
our daughter got married, just her father,
brothers and nephew
wore the kilt. The people from Wisconsin didn't know what to
make of it , that the Irish
not only know how to party, but
also how to dress. But they were all beautiful weddings.
Thanks
again for offering your services. And Helen is a doll. Thank
you,
Christine Ryan, Tinley Park, IL
I'm

that should be, tons of food,

Dear
Jock, I just wanted to let you know that the piper you sent
to our daughter's wedding Saturday,
6/22/02, was wonderful!
It was a hot day, but he still played non-stop. We had a lot
of people comment on
what a great "touch" is was to have a piper.
Thanks, Jackie Wampler

John,
You played at our wedding on October 2, 1999 at the Union League
Club in New York. My husband is Jewish and I am Protestant,
so we had a 12 minute brief wedding and when you came out to
pipe us out, it was the most special moment of the evening for
me. My grandfather, Gordon Macgregor, played the pipes and it
was my dream to have him play for my wedding. Unfortunately
he had passed away 10 years prior, so you brought him to us.
My husband's family, being Jewish, thought you had come to the
wrong wedding! We all had a good laugh!
I
now have my grandfather's pipes in my possesion and have promised
to carry on the family tradition. The pipes have not been played
in over 15 years I'm afraid and I must get them refurbished
before trying my hand. Any suggestions of where I can have this
done? I live in Manhattan, so any suggestions in the city would
be helpful. Also, any suggestions of where I can take lessons
in Manhattan? I promise I won't take away your wedding clients!
Thanks again,
Paul and Angie Newman
Jock,
Been to your store many times as was stationed in NJ. Had dinner
at the restaurant and was always true to Scottish form. Please
send a catalog. There seems to be nowhere around here to find
Scottish items and there are quite a few personnel here that
would like to explore their roots better. Any contacts in this
area? I miss Jersey!

Dear Joan and John,
Love your web site. I was wondering if you had a tartan or could
tell me which tartan would be the closest for the name Gorman.
I believe the family may have come from counties Clare and Monoghan.
I would love to own one!! Thank you very much.
Daniel Gorman Baltimore MD.
We
all had a great time at last night's Robert Burns dinner.

I
can't tell you how grand it was to see Pipers Cove doing so
well after all these years. As a student of Duncan McCaskill's
and George Bell's you can imagine how immersed I was in the
bagpiper's world and lifestyle. As years have passed since I
last played and even more since I saw you, the yearning and
need to play has finally caught up with me. I still cannot get
over the advances in technology (which end of the SM-90's goes
in the drone?). Even more wonderful than these advances is the
fact that you are both still as warm, caring, and devoted to
the pipers and drummers as I remember. You took your time with
me and tolerated my open-mouthed awe and ignorance of the new
equipment. Again, I cannot thank you enough for being who you
are and continuing to do what you obviously love so dearly.
God bless and keep a good heart.
Sincerely
Yours,
Craig Nadeau

i had died and went to heaven that's Chocolate heaven you understand,
we bought so much I think I will live on it for a while, We
also had fish and chips the kids had mince pies. We all HAD
smiles all the way home that night, so please stock up because

Dear
Joan and Jock,
Just a short note to say thank you for all the help and kindness
you have shown this new Bagpiper. As a member of a new band
we have had to make a lot of big decisions. The first was our
instructors,John Bradley for the pipes and Andy White on the
drums. These choices have been wildly successful. The choice
of Pipers Cove as our outfitter has also been a wise one. The
Shepherd Bagpipes are awsome and we can't wait to get the Kilts.
Your support of the band as well as the individual piper is
the reason we are moving along so well. Having 25 new pipers
coming thru the doors bugging you all the time must get tiring.
On a personal note when ever I have needed help to play some
where, you have come though me. Your kindness has let me participate
in some events that have meant a lot to me. Obviously bagpiping
is much more than business to you both. I look foward to many
years working with Pipers Cove and you Jock and Joan.

Please
send me a catalog! I was born in Scotland of two Scottish parents
and emigrated to the US at an early age. My parents, however,
raised my sister and I in a very Scottish "environment", so
we both cherish our roots greatly! I'd love to see your merchandise
with an eye to buying Christmas presents! Thank you very much!

I
grew up in Kearny, attended St Cecelia's (in the 50's) and many
a fond memory of Argyle Fish & Chips on Fridays. Kearny pipe bands
provided the impetus for me to learn the lowland/border pipes
and for that I am ever grateful.

We
love coming down to Kearney for a pint in the Scottish Club but
you can't go home without stopping in for your fish and chips
and of course the chocolate at the Pipers Cove. We are also getting
our kilts for our wedding made there. They are very helpful (even
when you are drunk). Thnaks Joan and Jock.
